Do you want to explore the beauty of Southern Utah but don't know where to start? Sign up for one of the below tours and leave it to your guide!
Wire Pass
This is the shortest and fastest way into the Buckskin Gulch. Wire pass starts out in a wash and within about 1 mile you begin a very narrow slot that becomes great with color and texture as you walk along. Buckskin gulch offers the special classic slot canyon look some photographers want to see and it’s just adventurous enough for hikers as well. Our total time is 7 hours and hiking time is 4-5 hours of flat hiking with some possibility of rocky or wet sections. Daily departures 7:30 am, call for availability for Tuesday and Wednesday.
Middle Route
This choice is for the more seasoned hiker wanting to see a new or unexplored section of the Buckskin Gulch few see. This area is located in the geographic middle of the Buckskin itself and is often out of reach from day hikers starting at either the Buckskin or Wire Pass trailheads. The trip lasts 7 hours round trip including driving.
Slot Canyon
3-hour tour to Peek A Boo slot canyon located about 10 miles outside of Kanab Utah. This short slot rivals any of the more famous canyons located in Utah or Arizona for photography potential. Fewer crowds equal a more relaxed walking/shooting experience for our guests. The total time is 3 hours. Tours are Sunday, Tuesday, and Thursday with a 9 am departure. Call for availability for other days with groups of four or more.
Yant Flat
This area will reward you with the landscape images you are looking for. Constant views of Zion National Park, as well as the multi-colored stripes of Candy Land, will keep you amazed all day. Navajo Sandstone has been lifted up by the volcanic rock below and weathered into the well-known domes located throughout Arizona and Utah. The total time is 7 hours.
Trailhead
This is a remote destination requiring a 2-2:30 hour drive each way over deep sand and 4x4 roads. Sitting at around 6000 feet White Pockets is cooler than most areas of the Vermilion Cliffs and with its shorter hiking distances, this is one of our easier trips physically. The White Pocket area is designed more for customers interested in landscape photography than hiking so this would not be the first choice if you want to explore longer inside the Vermilion Cliffs. Tour time is around 7 hours.
Water Hike
This is a great option if you are unable to secure one of the few permits to North Coyote Buttes. A more remote and longer hike than going to the Coyote Buttes version of wave rock but much more diverse. The total hike distance can be about 10 miles and 2000 vertical feet. This is not technical in any way but you should not be a beginner hiker and attempt this trail. Drive time from Kanab or St George is around 1 hour and the total tour time is about 7 hours.
